**singing in my Lana Del Rey voice** I’m in love.

Too many young women I think are harder on themselves than circumstances warrant. They are too often selling themselves short. They too often take criticism personally instead of seriously. You should take criticism seriously because you might learn something, but you can’t let it crush you. You have to be resilient enough to keep moving forward, whatever the personal setbacks and even insults that come your way might be. That takes a sense of humor about yourself and others. Believe me, this is hard-won advice I’m putting forth. It’s not like you wake up and understand this. It’s a process.

The sun sliced through the windshield, sealing me in light. I closed my eyes and felt the warmth on my eyelids. Sunlight traveled a long distance to reach this planet; an infinitesimal portion of that sunlight was enough to warm my eyelids. I was moved. That something as insignificant as an eyelid had its place in the workings of the universe, that the cosmic order did not overlook this momentary fact.

Winter has been particularly cruel this year, but finally, signs of spring are emerging from the cool, damp air still lingering into the early afternoon.

I tend to believe that inspiration changes with the seasons because lately, flowers fuel most of my inspiration.

Take the Rodarte A/W 2014 look featured above: the intricate floral design and saturated hues feels unconventionally romantic.
